Incumbent Worker Training Assistance
The Catawba Regional Council of Governments announces the availability of Incumbent Worker Training Assistance (IWT) under the provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The purpose of the IWT program is to assist employers with training currently employed workers to keep businesses and workers competitive. Private sector South Carolina Employers/Business Consortiums located in the counties of Chester, Lancaster, and York counties and in need of training for incumbent workers due to expansion and changing skill requirements caused by new technology, retooling, new product lines, and new organizational restructuring may be eligible for IWT assistance. Catawba Regional Council of Governments will be accepting applications for Incumbent Worker Training Funds from September 1st through September 29th.Attached you will find an application packet along with IWT guidelines. Also attached is a rating sheet, which explains how the applications are rated when determining eligibility for funds.
